As we move further into December, the month of Light, let us focus on the greatest gift we can give ourselves, the act of forgiveness.
Think of someone you need to forgive. Silently declare to yourself and to the universe that you are ready to forgive this person, affirm that you are ready to begin the process of forgiveness.
Take a moment and repeat this affirmation to yourself. Consider doing this every day.
"I forgive___ (insert name)."
I forgive myself. I forgive any part I played in this drama.
As I do, I step closer to my greatest life."
Breathe it in.
Be with this statement for a few moments. Really take the full meaning of that into your heart.
Know with every single cell of your being that the more you do this affirmation, the more it will become your truth.
You have heard the saying “Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.” What does that mean?
It means that if you forgive and truly let it go, it brings you peace.
When you truly forgive and let go, all the energy you spent on that person comes back to you. It comes home to your heart. All of that positive energy can now be used for your life’s goals. All the good things you want for yourself.
And there is the gift you give to yourself.
